Client: SS Property Maintenance

Trade: Roofing and property maintenance: new roofs, roof repairs, flat roofing, guttering, soffits and fascias, chimney repairs, roof cleaning

Areas covered: Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Lancashire North East

What we delivered: Website design and build, service content, quote form, on-page SEO

The brief

SS Property Maintenance is a roofing and building company working across a wide patch of the Midlands and the North. They needed a website that did two jobs: show homeowners they're a safe pair of hands, and turn that trust into quote requests.

A roofing website doesn't need to be complicated. It needs to answer the questions a homeowner has before they pick up the phone, and then make it dead easy to get in touch.

What we built

A clear, simple structure

The site is kept to the pages a homeowner actually uses: Home, Projects, About Us and Contact Us. A "Get a Quote" button sits in the header on every page, so wherever someone lands, the next step is one tap away.

Service content that answers the real questions

Every core service has its own section on the homepage:

  • New roofs and roof repairs

  • Flat roofing

  • UPVC guttering services

  • Soffits and fascias

  • Chimney repairs

  • Roof cleaning and maintenance

Each description goes further than "we do roofs". It covers what the service is, what the customer gets out of it, what the price depends on, roughly how long the job takes and how to book. For example, the flat roofing section explains that cost varies by size and material and that jobs usually take one to three days.

That's deliberate. Those are the exact questions homeowners ask on the phone. Answering them on the page builds confidence and brings in enquiries from people who already know what to expect.

Proof of real work

A "Featured Projects" gallery on the homepage leads to a dedicated Projects page with photos of completed work. The About Us page adds customer testimonials alongside the company's story, and a 5-star Google Reviews badge appears across the site. For a roofer, showing real jobs and real customer feedback does more selling than any headline.

A quote form built for roofing enquiries

The "Get a FREE Quote" form sits on the homepage, and there's a dedicated quote page too. As well as name, email and phone, it asks "Which service do you need?" with a dropdown. That small detail means every enquiry arrives already sorted by job type, so the team knows whether they're calling back about a chimney or a new roof.

Service areas on every page

The counties covered are listed in the footer and on the quote page. Visitors can instantly see they're in the right place, and Google gets consistent signals about where the business works.

On-page SEO around services and places

Page titles, headings and service copy were written around the work the business actually does and the counties it covers. That gives Google a clear picture of what the company offers and where, which is the foundation for showing up in local searches. If you want the full picture on this, read our SEO guide for tradesmen.

Why this approach works for roofers

Homeowners hiring a roofer are cautious, and they should be. It's a big job, often on the most expensive thing they own. A good roofing website takes the worry out of the decision:

  • It shows real work, not stock photos

  • It explains the services in plain English, including what affects the price

  • It makes the areas covered obvious

  • It puts a quote button and a phone number within reach on every page

We build every trade website around one question: what does a nervous homeowner need to see before they get in touch? For more on what a roofing site needs, see our guide to web design for roofers, or look at another roofing project in our Best Roofing & Building case study.
